ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The Cheesecake Factory has inherited a tradition of excellence from our founders, Oscar and Evelyn Overton, whose values have shaped our culture and continue to define the character of our company today. The Foundation, which bears their names, exists to fulfill its mission by utilizing our nationwide restaurant presence to enhance the wellbeing of our surrounding communities. This non-profit organization was created not only as an instrument of financial support, but also as a way to unite our conscientious and enthusiastic staff members across the county in supporting charitable causes.
Our 16th Annual Charity Golf Tournament & Auction invites The Cheesecake Factory vendors, associates and corporate staff members to join together and raise much needed funds. Money raised expands Foundation programs and results in a substantial donation to the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, bio-medical research and treatment facility in Duarte, California. The Foundation donated $250,000 to the City of Hope as a result of the 2017 Charity Golf Tournament. Together with our valued vendor partners, more than $3 million dollars has been donated to the City of Hope.
Through our Give Back program staff member teams are sponsored for fundraising and community service project. We want staff to get involved with the non-profit organization they care about. Team shirts are provided, and the Foundation makes a financial donation to the non-profit beneficiary based on the number of staff members on the team.
Since 2001, the Foundation and our staff member volunteers, provide an annual Thanksgiving Day Feast for thousands of low income individuals and families at Salvation Army Center across the country.
Together, with the support of our staff members and vendor partners, The Cheesecake Factory’s Charitable Foundation is making a difference in our communities.
Thank you!
